The wonderful Colonial Pelicans by bird photographer Arthur Morris have such a great character about them. Not the most beautiful of birds however their gaze captures your eye and the quirky features come to light. Their strong long beak used to scoop up fish looks almost wooden in contrast to the stretchy red and green pouch which expands to an enourmous size. The bird's dark, thick feathers are a stark contrast to the blonde fuzzy comical head of hair they have, all topped off with the striking pretty pale blue eyes.
